Mr. Gregory S. Nemeckay, age 64 of Macomb Township, passed away Friday at McLaren-Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemens.

He was born on July 3, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan, a son of Stephen and Dolores (DeMeyere) Nemeckay. On May 13, 2003, Greg was united in marriage with Laurie Blazejewski in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Greg loved his Budweiser Beer! And then playing golf, bowling and Euchre. He was a member of the Mount Clemens Elks and Eagle Lodge No. 1269.

Greg served in the United States Air Force and he worked as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service.

Greg is survived by his wife, Laurie and his son, Christopher Stephen Nemeckay; grandsons, Colton and Logan; mother Dolores Nemeckay; siblings, Cheryl (Tom) Rymiszewski, Timothy Nemeckay, Lori (Paul) Castelli, Pamela Nemeckay and Stephen (Laura) Nemeckay. Greg was predeceased by his father Stephen Nemeckay.

Mr. Nemeckay's cremated remains will be entombed at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly Township, Michigan with Air Force Military Honors service.

Cremation arrangements entrusted to Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens.
