Gerald Lee
Coppins
Jan 9, 1941 — Oct 23, 2018
It is with a heavy heart, we let you know of the passing of Gerald Lee Coppins on October 23, 2018 at Henry Ford Hospital in Clinton Township. He was born January 9, 1941.
Survived by his wife Virginia; children, Terri Panetta, Marc (Barb) Coppins, Matthew Coppins, Bobby Gudenau, Dawn Sanders and Brad Gudenau. He had five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, multiple nieces and nephews, and one brother, James (Beverly) Coppins. Predeceased by his parents, Ogden and Ruth Coppins, and brother, Charles Coppins.
Throughout the years Jerry maintained his business, Coppins Painting and Decorating.
Gerald (Jerry) was known to many and often referred to as the "social butterfly" of the group. He made friends wherever he want and always had a joke to tell. He loved traveling up north, especially to see the the colors in the fall, enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Juggle Up Club.
In December, Gerald would have been married to Virginia for 30 years. He loved and treasured their relationship as much as that of his family and friends.
We ask that you keep Jerry alive in your heart and join us for a celebration of his life at the Rec Bowl, 40 Crocker Boulevard, Mount Clemens on Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
