Mr. Gerald A. Amick, age 77 of Clinton Township, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 in the Martha T. Berry Medical Care Facility.

He was born on August 11, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Garland and Rhoda (Archibald) Amick. On February 22, 1964, Gerald was united in marriage with Carol Card in Bethel Temple in New Baltimore.

Jerry worked for 35 years as an arc welder at Adams United in Warren. He loved music and had played in two country bands. He enjoyed car shows and most of all loved his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Carol and two children, Sandra (Robert) Pacholski and Dean (Brenda) Amick; seven grandchildren, Lisa and Michael Pacholski, Morgan (William) Wright, Conor, Parker, Kellyn and Padric Amick, and his sister, Lora (Dennis) Finch. Gerald was predeceased by his brother, David Amick.

The visiting hours are on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor David Klemm officiating. Burial will follow at Centennial Cemetery in New Haven.
