Mr. George Raymond Whitmore, age 95, of Sterling Heights, passed away on Tuesday at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan.

George was born on April 18, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan to the late George Howl and Celine (VanHazenbrouck) Whitmore. In Toledo, Ohio on November 16, 1942 George was united in marriage with his wife of 40 years, Isabelle. George loved gardening, painting, woodworking, and enjoyed being on a bowling league with his wife Isabelle. He was a member of Shriners and served as a Corporal in the United States Armed Forces.

Mr. Whitmore is survived by his children Nancy (Nick) Gates and George (Sherry) Whitmore; grandchildren Robert Mueller, Lisa Whitmore, Michael Whitmore, and Kenny Whitmore; and eight great-grandchildren.

A visitation will take place on Friday, December 21, 2018 starting at 10:00 a.m. until the time the of service at 1:00 p.m. at the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens, MI 48043.

Mr. Whitmore will be laid to rest at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
