George William Dodd, age 79 of Clinton Township, passed away at his son's home, Saturday afternoon.

He was born June 2, 1938 to Arthur and Ruth (Lee) Dodd in Salem, Massachusetts. On June 24, 1961 George was united in marriage with Shirley Ermgodts in Pontiac, Michigan.

Mr. Dodd was a veteran of the United State Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service. He then worked as a civil servant for the United States Government for 20 years until his retirement. George was a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America, and enjoyed doing leatherwork, going to the casino, and spent winters with his wife in LasVegas.

He is survived by his son, Thomas (Terry) Dodd; brother, Bob Dodd; sisters, Darlene Mcgrane, Frances Kennedy, and many nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his wife, Shirley on May 19, 2015.

Mr. Dodd will be buried with Air Force Honors at Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester Hills, Michigan.
