Fred Harold Powers, age 70 of Clinton Township, passed away Monday at William Beaumont Hospital, Troy.

He was born September 24, 1949 to Lonnie and Ruth (Stephen) Powers in Pound, Virginia. On April 12, 1981 Fred was married to Ann T. Cottrell in Las Vegas.

Mr. Powers served in the United States Air Force for six years during the Vietnam War. He retired as Manager of Communications at Selfridge Air National Guard Base after thirty years of employment. Fred enjoyed fishing and golfing.

Surviving is his wife, Ann; children, Dan (Denia) McNeill, Brian (Doris) McNeill, David (Michele) McNeill, Michelle (Robert) Stach, Lisa Dawn Powers, Benjamin (Dana) Powers; grandchildren, Hannah, Zachary, Nathan, Nicole, Kathryn, Dalton, and sister, Marcy Powers. Fred was predeceased by his parents, Lonnie and Ruth and brother, Joseph Powers.

Visiting hours are 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2020 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.
