Mr. Frank "Ed" Edwin Barbier, age 87, of Chesterfield Township passed away on Monday at his home.

Ed was born on July 24, 1930 to the late Nikolaus and Margaret (Retzler) Barbier in Detroit, Michigan. He worked as engineer for GM. He enjoyed making and flying model airplanes and was a member of the Radio Control Club of Detroit and the Academy of Model Aeronautics. After retiring from GM he began farming and owned his own store for hunting and fishing supplies.

Mr. Barbier is survived by his close friend Janet (James) Florka. He was predeceased by his siblings Joseph Barbier and Irma Barbier.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens, Michigan 48043. A eulogy will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Private burial will take place at Clinton Grover Cemetery, in Clinton Township, Michigan.
