Eugene Edward Grew, age 83 of Detroit, Michigan passed away June 8, 2022. He was born August 25, 1938 to Eugene and Regina Grew.

Eugene graduated from Cass Tech and earned a degree in business administration. He started his career in the mid to late 1950's at the Cinerama while he was an on call studio musician for Hitsville-Motown Records. (Google Motown's Mystery Man). Eugene enlisted and was honorably discharged in late 1961 from the Army National Guard. He then returned to show business, working for the Northland, AMC, and retired in 2017 from MJR.

Eugene loved his work, feeding the squirrels, going to the gym and keeping in touch with his family, friends and colleagues. Eugene was a well spoken, kind hearted man, with a tremendous sense of humor.

Eugene never married or had children. Besides his parents, Eugene and Regina, he was predeceased by his sister and brother in law Sandra and Kevin Vermeylen.

Eugene is survived by nieces and nephews, Ken (Brenda) Fred, Sue, Kevin (Karen) Pollard, April Vermeylen, their children and grandchildren.

Pursuant to Eugene's wishes, no services were held.

Cremation was entrusted to Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home.
