Edward J. Kapeluch, 90 of Clinton Twp., MI passed away peacefully on August 10, 2021

Edward was born in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania to the late Antonia and Stanley Kapeluch on December 21, 1930.

Edward was an excellent student and played basketball and volleyball where he was awarded for his participation in the "all city tournament" championship. He graduated from Hamtramck High in 1950.

He married the love of his life Kathleen on September 11, 1976 in Detroit, MI.  He was a wonderful & loving husband, father and grandfather.

He worked and retired from Chrysler Corp. in which he was awarded a "perfect attendance" record. Edward was a Korean war veteran and served in the Marines and was awarded a "Purple Heart". Edward loved his family, faith and flag.  He was a proud American.

Edward is preceded in death by Kathleen Kapeluch (wife), Josephine Mercier(sister) and John Kapeluch(brother). Edward is survived by his children Lynn Scalia (daughter) Vince Scalia (son-inlaw) and Bobby Brosofski(son), Phyllis Wolanin(sister); (Grandchildren) Jessica (Josh(husband)), Nicholas, Madison, Christopher, Samantha, Nevaeh,Dakota (Great Grandchildren) Delilah, Amelia, Arya, John, Ashton & Miles.

Memorial Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. and mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 26th, 2021 at St. Thecla Catholic Church 20740 S. Nunneley Rd., Clinton Twp. MI 48035.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post #4 Honor Guard, 401 North Groesbeck Hwy., Mount Clemens, MI 48043.
