Mrs. Edith R. Martin, age 101, of Clinton Township, passed away Sunday morning at Grace Senior Living in Chesterfield Township.

She was born on November 2, 1920 in Mount Clemens, Michigan. A daughter of the late William and Mary (St. Aubin) Fetty. On July 2, 1941, Edith was united in marriage with Ernest L. Martin in Toledo, Ohio. The couple resided in Clinton Township since marriage. Mr. Martin passed away on Monday, November 28, 1994 in Mount Clemens.

Edith had worked at the Mount Clemens Pottery. She enjoyed being a homemaker, gardening, camping and traveling and playing cards. She was an Auxiliary Member of the V.F.W. Post 7573 in New Baltimore and the Chesterfield Senior Citizens. Most of all Edith enjoyed her family.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Newman, grandson Todd (Kelley) Newman; great granddaughters, Evah and Gracelyn, and her sister, Rita Flask. Edith was predeceased by 4 siblings, Marion Sturgis, Irene, William and Raymond Fetty.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 2:00 pm until the time of Eulogy Service at 5:00 pm in the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens.
