Earl Jay Porter, age 66 of Port Sanilac, passed away April 17, 2025 at Deckerville Community Hospital.

He was born November 20, 1958 to Kenneth and Mary Louise (Klockow) Porter in Cordell, Oklahoma. On November 1, 1980 Jay was united in marriage with Lori Ann McPhail at Zion United Church of Christ, Mount Clemens.

Mr. Porter was employed at Knepp Drywall, owned Anthony's Pizza in New Baltimore and Anchor Bay Catering, was employed at Greco Title, and mowed grass for various golf courses. Jay enjoyed playing darts, cards, going on golf cart rides, traveling, being on the lake, his bourbon and Romeo and Juliet Cigars. He had a big heart, and especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Lori; daughter, Lindsey Kvamme; daughter in law, Bliss Wood; grandsons, Blake, Zachary, Nikolas and Damien; granddaughter, Ava; brothers, David Porter and Wade (Anita) Chandler. Jay was predeceased by his son, Matthew Joseph Porter; father, Kenneth Porter and step mother, Iva "Connie" Porter; mother, Mary Louise Barr and step father, Larry Barr.

Visiting hours will be Noon until 6:00 p.m. (4:00 p.m. service), Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.
