Donald W. Ruby, age 78 of Macomb, passed away Monday morning at Shelby Nursing Center, Shelby Township.
He was born July 14, 1938 to Marvin and Verna (Freshney) Ruby in Mount Clemens, Michigan. On April 23, 1960 Donald was united in marriage with Jerrie Jo Zalut at St. Thecla Catholic Church, Clinton Township.
Mr. Ruby served in the United States Army, and was employed at St. Joseph Hospital East, Mount Clemens for over 40 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving is his wife of almost 57 years, Jerrie Jo; daughters, Dawn Hijazzi and Deborah (James) Weihe; grandchildren, Donald, Sarah, Michelle; great grandchildren, Braxton, Everly, his twin brother, Ronald Ruby, and grand puppy, Curly.
Visiting hours are 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.
Burial will follow at Clinton Grove Memorial Park, Clinton Township.
