Dixie Cantrell, age 91 of Harrison Township, passed away late Wednesday night at Walnut Creek Assisted Living, Harrison Township.

She was born July 8, 1928 to Ocie (Elswick) and Marion Breeding Sr. in Grundy, Virginia. On April 22, 1950 Dixie was married to Ercel Cantrell in Pikeville, Kentucky.

Dixie was employed by General Dynamics as a tank assembler. She enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, quilting and crocheting.

Surviving is her son, Ronnie L. (Diane) Cantrell Sr.; grandchildren, Kimberly (Aaron) Zuzga, Ronnie L. (Aleah) Cantrell Jr.; great grandchildren, Ashley Zuzga, Morgan Zuzga, Jacob Zuzga, Veronica Cantrell; siblings, Ella Rose, Gaye Hutchinson and Claudette Glasscock. Dixie was predeceased by her husband, Ercel Cantrell; siblings, Willard Breeding, Mary Fletcher, Ralph Breeding, Walter Breeding, Ethel Corbett, Marion Breeding Jr. and Alma Ruark.

A comital of burial service will take place at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 13, 2020 at Christian Memorial Cemetery, 521 East Hamlin Road, Rochester Hills, MI.
