Deborah Ann Prahl, age 64 of Sterling Heights, passed away late Tuesday evening at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, Clinton Township.

She was born March 14, 1954 to Gordon and Barbara (Schrade) Messel in Mount Clemens, Michigan. On October 7, 1978 Deborah was united in marriage with John F. Prahl at Zion United Church of Christ, Mount Clemens.

Mrs. Prahl was a life member of Zion United Church of Christ, and was employed as the secretary there for the past 1 1/2 years. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, and was extremely involved in many activities at church.

Deborah is survived by daughters, Carrie (Bruce Wright) Prahl and Amy (Jeremy) Stahl; her mother, Barbara Messel, and brother, Gary (Renee) Messel. Deborah was predeceased by her husband, John F. Prahl, and father, Gordon Messel.

Visiting hours are from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral service time of 7:00 p.m., Sunday, August, 12, 2018 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens. Pastor Scott Davis of Zion United Church of Christ will officiate the service.
