David James Heath, Sr.

November 28, 1943 - December 13, 2019

Mr. David J. Heath, Sr., age 76 of Clinton Township, passed away on Friday morning at his home.

He was born on November 28, 1943 in Mount Clemens, Michigan, a son of the late Carley and Alta (Newby) Heath. Dave had worked on the assembly line at the Livonia Ford Transmission plant before his retirement.

He was a former member of Bethany Baptist Church in Clinton Twp. He loved cars and everyone loved his sense of humor.

Mr. Heath is survived by four children, Darlene Heath-Meyers, Diana (Andrew) Burlager, David James Heath Jr. and Andrea Heath. Nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and seven brothers and sisters, Ralph, Richard (Carol), Timothy (Sue), Sharon (Grant) Powell, Becky (Tom) Clausen, Joann (Phil) Sullivan, and Helen (Melvin) Yax. Dave was predeceased by 5 siblings, Marion "Buster" Heath, Mary Lou Hogancamp, Norma Martell, Patricia Musgrave and John Heath.

Visiting hours are on Monday, December 16 and Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 18 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. G. Patrick Thompson officiating. Private burial will follow at Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester Hills.
