David Michael Gomez, age 62 of Chesterfield, passed away Sunday afternoon at McLaren Macomb, Mount Clemens.
He was born August 26, 1955 to Ruben and Joyce (Forbes) Gomez in Detroit, Michigan. On July 2, 1983 David was united in marriage with Debora Leonowicz in Sterling Heights.
Mr. Gomez served in the United States Navy for 15 years, and was employed at Ford Motor Company for 19 years. He was a hard worker, and enjoyed watching the Lions, Red Wings, and Tigers. David especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Debora; children, Amy Gomez, Katie Gomez, Joey (Amie) Gomez, Joshua Gomez, Andy (Stefani) Miller; grandchildren, Justin, Tyler, Danica, Nicholas, Elleah, Matthew, Jacob, Emily, and sisters, Linda Komer and Kathleen (Paul) Raab. David was predeceased by his parents, Ruben and Joyce.
Visiting hours are 5 - 8 p.m., Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Faith Apostolic Church of Troy, 6710 Crooks, Troy, MI 48098.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday at the Church with Reverend Marvin Walker officiating. Military honors will follow services at church.
