David Ellis Garrett

Mr. David E. Garrett, age 76 of Mount Clemens, Michigan passed away on Friday morning at McLaren-Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemens.

David was born on February 16, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois, a son of the late Ellis and Jean (Harper) Garrett. On December 14, 1995, Dave was united in marriage with Kathy Kilgore in Mount Clemens.

Dave served proudly in the United States Marine Corps (July 3, 1961 - November 13, 1964). He and Kathy enjoyed traveling. David was an artist. Many of his paintings are collected in the United States, Canada and Europe.

David is survived by his wife, Kathy Kilgore, son, Stirling (Shannon) Garrett, granddaughter, Kaitlyn; siblings, Philip Garrett, Martha Garrett, Francine Seward and Susan (Dino) Bucceri.

Visiting hours are on Monday, February 24, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens.

Funeral Eulogy will be on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

Burial with military honors will be on Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly Township.
