David William Caldwell, age 74 of Harrison Township, passed away April 11, 2026 at his home. He was born July 23, 1951 to George and Sarah (Carver) Caldwell in Detroit, Michigan.

David took great pride in his service as a firefighter with the Harrison Township Fire Department, a role he carried as a badge of honor long after he retired from active duty. His commitment to the department and his community remained true, as he continued to serve for many years by capturing photo and video evidence for the department as a fire investigator. He was also an active member of the Medical Reserve Corps for Macomb County.

David found joy in videography and photography, had a passion for baking pastries, practicing his marksmanship, and devoted time to studying and practicing martial arts. A self-taught guitar player, he found happiness in music and life's simple pleasures—a fresh donut, a cup of coffee, and a good conversation. He enjoyed collecting antiques and spending time on nature walks, appreciating the beauty in both history and the world around him.

David was known for his sarcastic sense of humor and infectious personality, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He gave so much of himself to others, always putting their happiness and well-being before his own. David was the best father and best friend that anyone could ask for, and was loved deeply. His gentle spirit and generous heart will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Surviving are his daughters, Christina Marie Caldwell and Michelle Lynn Caldwell, his sister, Janet Williams, and Granddogs, Dexter, MJ, and Beavis. David was predeceased by his parents George and Sarah, and his brother, Ernest Caldwell.
