Mrs. Darlene Mae Barr, age 83 of Warren, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 in her home.

She was born on October 21, 1935 in Gould City, Newton Township, Michigan, a daughter of the late William and Eunice (Sly) O'Neil. On November 13, 1953, Darlene was united in marriage with James Barr Jr. in Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Barr passed away on February 22, 2011 in Mount Clemens.

Darlene was a homemaker who enjoyed solving jig saw puzzles and loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their events.

Mrs. Barr is survived by five children, Valerie Wheaton, Jayme (Steven) Beckey, James (Tina) Barr III, Brian (Susie) Barr and Todd (Michelle) Barr; three siblings, Celia, Eugene (Lesley) and Bill (Brenda); seven grandchildren, Brian (Holly), Aaron (Taylor), Guyer (Sherrie), Adam, Stephanie (Donald) DeStefanis, Kyle and Eric; three great-grandchildren, Maddie Mae and Everett DeStefanis and Gracie Barr. Darlene was predeceased by four siblings, John O'Neil, Marilyn Hudman, Edward O'Neil and Lorraine Jones.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. with Minister Steven Beckey officiating.

Private cremation will follow at Lenox Cremation Service in Casco Township, Michigan.
