Danny Cecil Gillis, age 56 of Harrison Township, passed away Friday evening at his home.

He was born February 1, 1962 to Robert Cecil and Betty Elizabeth (Rutz) Gillis in Woodstock, Virginia. On August 18, 1989 Danny was married to Deborah Dyer in Eastpointe, Michigan.

Mr. Gillis was employed at JVIS of Harrison Township. He enjoyed camping, baseball, football, researching, was a collector of various items, including watches and beer steins. Danny loved spending time with his children, and always had time to take them to their various activities.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah; children, Branden Cecil Gillis and Amber Marie Gillis; his mother, Betty Gillis, and siblings, Rick "Bree" (Beverly) Gillis and Tim (Mary Beth) Gillis. Danny was predeceased by his father, Robert Cecil Gillis.
