Charles "Sonny" Llewellyn Meteer Jr. 76, of Windsor ON, died Friday afternoon, March 28, 2025, at Berkshire Care Center in Windsor ON, following a lengthy illness.

He was born May 8, 1948, in Columbus, Ohio, a son of the late Charles Llewellyn Sr. and Mary Rita (Corcoran) Meteer. He attended St Ann's Catholic School in Bristol, Virginia, and St Charles Minor Seminary in Catonsville, Maryland where he made lifelong friends whom he cherished. Sonny went on to study at Wayne State University earning a master's degree in developmental psychology.

In 1970 he married Ann Miles at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Mt. Clemens, MI.

Sonny spent his early years after marriage working at Burning Tree Country Club and the Macomb County Youth Home as a Youth Probation Officer. He spent the remainder of his working career in the Electrical industry, holding multiple positions, both locally and across the country, which he took immense pride and joy in. He touched many lives throughout his professional career and made many friends that were close to him to the very end. These friends always remained at the forefront of his thoughts, even during his illness.

On April 15th, 2015, Sonny married Michele Bolduc and retired to Windsor, ON where he spent the remainder of his life.

Sonny was an incredible athlete who loved his Washington Redskins, Minnesota Twins and Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed passing this passion for athletics onto his children and grandchildren and proudly never lost a golf match to any of his sons. Sonny's leisure time was spent traveling and playing golf with his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his wife Michele, his siblings, his children, and his grandchildren. They were his true love in life and being with them was when he was at his happiest.

Sonny is survived by his wife, Michele Bolduc of Windsor; sons, Matthew Meteer, Paul (Keri) Meteer, Andrew (Sarah) Meteer, stepdaughter Mary-Ann Soukas; Brothers Thomas (Janet) Meteer, Robert Meteer; sisters Peggy Weller, Jane (Glenn) Jungen and sixteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Ernie (Peggy) Weller and sister-in-law Sue (Robert) Meteer.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on April 3rd , 1-7PM at Will & Schwarzkoff  Funeral Home in Mt. Clemens, MI. Funeral Mass and burial will be on a future date at St. Joseph Cemetery in Columbus, OH.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
