Catherine Ann McDerment (Baier), age 93 of Harrison Twp., passed away Friday December 13, 2019.
Catherine was a loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother.  Born in Detroit, Catherine studied accounting at the University of Detroit.   She worked at various companies throughout her life, but always put her family first.

She met John McDerment in 1956 when both were members of the Detroit Hiking Club.  They were married for 57 years, holding hands until John passed in 2013.  Called Katie by her many friends, she was always a positive and joyful person.  She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and has been a lasting and positive role model in their lives.  Katie and John enjoyed golf, bowling and boating throughout their lives.  They were charter members of the PMYC boat club.

She will be missed by her children; Elizabeth (Corey Jarocki), Stuart (Denise), Martin (Gale), William (Beth), grandchildren Cassie (Chuck Henry), Christine, CJ, Jack, Dylan, Logan, Ian, Shane, Megan, Matthew, Kyle, Haley and Sean.  Great-grandson John.  Loving nieces Mary Ann, Jeannie, Margarite and many more in the UK.
She was predeceased by her loving husband John, son Donald, great-granddaughter Sadie Henry, brothers Edward, Donald, and sister Mary Margret.

The visiting hours are on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. (in state 10:30 a.m.) at St.Hubert Catholic Church, 38775 Prentiss Street (at Metro Parkway), Harrison Township with the Rev. Fr. Douglas Bignell officiating.
