Carolyn Jeane Pleger, age 79 of Mount Clemens, passed away May 27, 2026 at her home. She was born September 27, 1946 to Arthur K.  and Ivy J. (White) Pleger in Port Huron, Michigan.

Carolyn was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Clinton Township. She was employed as a teacher for the Mount Clemens Community Schools for almost 40 years. Carolyn loved her dogs, and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.

Surviving are her siblings, James (Xiaoyan Guan) Pleger and Mary (Fred) Seitz; nieces and nephews, Walter (Vicky) Seitz, Laura (Daniel) McMahon, Molly (Martin) Rodriguezacosta and Dr. Yao Yao Guan ( Dr. Richard) Pollock; great nieces and great nephews, Gabe, Nathanael, Emma, Matthew, Madison, Marty, Maverick, Lanie and Zadie. Carolyn was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Ivy, and great nephew, David.

Visiting hours will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. (in state 10:00) Thursday, June 4, 2026 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 21400 South Nunneley, Clinton Township.

Burial will follow at Clinton Grove Cemetery, Clinton Township.
