Caroline (Susie) Frances (Yde) Jolly, 91, passed away July 16, 2021. Born May 11, 1930 to Roger and Celine (Schietecatt) Yde in Mt. Clemens, MI. Preceded in death by parents, Roger and Celine Yde, husband, David Franklin Jolly; son, David John Jolly; brothers, Joseph Yde, and Frank Yde. Beloved mother of Curt Gibson ( Lyn), Don Emerson (Karen), Shelley Emerson, Tim Jolly (Connie), Lucy Jolly, Carol Gibson, and Kelly Bascik (Scott) Belmore. Wonderful grandma to 28 grandchildren and great-grandma to 25 great-grandchildren.

A daughter of two Belgian immigrants who founded Yde's Market in 1917, Caroline was raised in their family grocery store and worked there for many years. She married David F. Jolly on May 16, 1970 in Mt. Clemens. "Sue and Bub" were happily married for 43 years until David's death February 12, 2013. They loved their little spot in the country, and enjoyed breakfasts out at places where they were cherished "regulars." Camping in their fifth wheeler and going fishing were favorite pastimes for the pair.

In recent years, she would often say with her big, beautiful smile on her face: "I'm blessed with just the most wonderful family ever." Susie was the most demonstrative person we know. She loved you with her whole heart and gave great big warm hugs! We love her and miss her.

Visiting hours are from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service time of 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens. Burial will follow at Clinton Grove Cemetery, Clinton Township.
