Bruce David Callewaert, age 91 of Clinton Township, passed away August 28, 2019 at Martha T. Berry Medical Care Facility, Mount Clemens.

He was born July 11, 1928 to Remi and Frances (DeChene) Callewaert in Detroit, Michigan. On July 1, 1950 Bruce was united in marriage with Mary Ann at St. Catherine's Church, Detroit.

Bruce was the proprietor of Jefferson Welding Company. He enjoyed playing bingo, racing pigeons, and spending winter in Florida with Mary Ann.

Surviving are his children, Bruce (Linda) Callewaert, Daniel Callewaert, Bonnie (Daniel) Grusecki, Sharon (Scott) Cunningham and Thomas (Shauna) Callewaert; 9 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Bruce was predeceased by his wife, Mary Ann, and brothers, Remi and Clyde.

Visiting hours are 2:00 - 9:00 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. funeral service, Friday, August 30, 2019 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens. Pastor Scott Davis of Zion United Church of Christ in Mount Clemens will officiate the service.

Private burial will take place at 10:00 a.m., Saturday at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
