Mrs. Bettie Jean Fridley, age 83, of Clinton Township passed away on Monday morning at her home.

Bettie was born on May 16, 1935 to the late Robert and Bernadine (Amley) Swanson. In Mount Clemens she was united in marriage with Mr. Howard D. Fridley on October 17, 1964. She retired from the Kmart Corporation where she worked as a sales associate for fifteen years. Bettie was a member of the Clinton Valley Assembly of God as well as a member of the Silver Bells and enjoyed sewing.. She was a fantastic cook and baker. She loved to decorate cakes, make candy and cookies. Bettie was also a talented musician and enjoyed playing the piano, organ, and accordion. She really loved going camping, especially to her favorite camp site at Myrtle Beach Travel Park.

Mrs. Fridley is survived by her children Debra (Lawrence) DeHayes, Deanna Biggerstaff, Lori (Frank) Somerset, and Scott Fridley; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Howard and her daughter Delynne.

A visitation for Mrs. Fridley will take place on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 3:00-8:00p.m. at the Will & Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens, Michigan 48043.

The funeral service for Bettie will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 11:00a.m. with Clifford Rice officiating. Following the service, Mrs. Fridley will be laid to rest at Clinton Grove Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
