Mrs. Bessie Jean Pate, age 97 of Harrison Township, passed away on Monday at her home.

She was born on September 29, 1923 in Buckley, Michigan, a daughter of the late Finley and Elizabeth (Runion) Duff. In June 1943, she was united in marriage with Charles M. Pate in Mount Clemens. He passed away on June 26, 2005.

Jean was artistic, enjoying crafts and painting.

Jean is survived by two children, Charles (Robin) Pate and Jeffrey "Mark" Pate; grandmother of 13 and 25 great grandchildren; her siblings, Beth Boggs and Ike Duff. Jean was predeceased by two children, Carol and James, and ten siblings.

Visiting hours are on Thursday November 12, 2020 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens. Private burial will be held on Friday at Cadillac Memorial Gardens Cemetery East, Clinton Township.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions: 10 visitors at a time, face masks must be worn entire time (mouth and nose has to be covered). Food and drinks not permitted. Please limit your time to 10 minutes of viewing to allow another guest to visit.
