Mr. Bernard Carl (Bernie) Gauthier, age 91 of Harrison Township, passed away on Thursday evening at his home.

He was born on August 7, 1932 in Donken, Michigan, a son of the late Cyril and Iva Mae (Bates) Gauthier. He was married to Margaret Murphy and later to Marie Ella Stierle.

Bernie was the owner of Auto Magic, auto body repair shop. He Was a member of V.F.W., American Legion Post No. 4, Moose Lodge, and president of L'Anse Creuse North Baseball League. Bernie was an avid fan of the Detroit Lions.

Bernie is survived by 3 children, Denise Hofford, Dale (Patricia) Gauthier and Diane Gauthier; his sister, Beulah Radcliff; grandfather of 8, great grandfather of 6, and 4 step daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren, son-in-law, Alan Hofford, and his special friend, dog B.J. Bernie was predeceased by a son, Dean Gauthier, Sr., siblings, Charles Gauthier and Laura Buckholz.

Visiting hour are on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens.

Funeral service and sharing special memories will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 11:00 am (visiting at 10:00 am) in the funeral home with the Reverend Mark Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow to Clinton Grove Cemetery, Clinton Township.
