Barbara A. Lewis, age 74 of Macomb, passed away Monday afternoon at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak.

She was born July 14, 1943 to Joseph and Eva (Glowacki) Bohil in St. Johns, Michigan.

Barbara grew up in St. Johns, where she attended St. Johns High School. She then attended Carnegie Medical College in Cleveland, Ohio. Barbara move to Detroit, Michigan in 1963, and was married to Charles Lewis, May 23, 1970. The couple moved to Mount Clemens after their marriage.

Mrs. Lewis was employed at St. John Hospital, Detroit and Mount Clemens General Hospital. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Mount Clemens, and was a life member of the Adoration Chapel at church, where she was very active in Holy Hour.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; sisters, Julie Bohil, Bernie (Butch) Foerch, Christine Oliver; sisters in law, Sharon (Lee) Uren, Janet (Mike) Sloan; brother in law, Robert Lewis; nephews, Kevin Foerch, William Uren, Gregory Uren, Rob Lewis, Garrick Lewis, Darren Lewis; nieces, Lori Galicki, Heather Sloan; grand niece, Lillian Foerch and several other grand nieces and grand nephews. Barbara was predeceased by a niece, Carrie Sloan.

Visiting hours are from 4:00 p.m. until the end of the Rosary service which will start at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.

Funeral mass will be at 11:30 a.m. (in state at 11:00), Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church, 95 Market Street, Mount Clemens with Father Michael N. Cooney officiating.
