Anna Mae (Blomme) Elias, age 81, of Clinton Twp. Michigan passed from this life at 7:35 am, July 31 at Henry Ford Hospital Macomb.

She was born on August 13, 1935 to Leon and Irma Blomme in Utica Michigan. They preceded her in death. She married Edward Anthony Elias on August 27, 1955. He preceded her in death on October 7, 2000. She was also predeceased by her 4 sisters: Beatrice Essenmacher, Patricia VanThomme, Bernice Mathy and Mildred Schoenherr.

She is survived by her 8 children: Edward J. Elias of Clinton Twp., Laura (Jerry) Sharff of Clinton Twp., Paula (Jeff) Lauderbach of Richmond, Joseph (Terra) Elias of Marion IL, Sandra (Patrick) Holmes of Gilbert AZ, Patricia (Jeff) Brown of Clinton Twp., Barbara (Mark) Malburg of Columbus IN and Christine Elias of Clinton Twp She had 14 grandchildren – James Difalco, April Horgan, Robert Adair, Felicia Lawrence, Hayley Lauderbach, Joseph Elias, Jacob Elias, Christina Waun, Angela Daziani, Louis Brown, Elizabeth Brown, Samantha Brown, Rebecca Malburg and Stephen Malburg, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Throughout her life she enjoyed happy, loud gatherings with family where she cooked large meals. She lovingly cared for her youngest daughter at home for the last 47 years. She enjoyed golf, bowling, bingo, casinos, Sudoku, solving crossword puzzles and electronic solitaire. She is a 27 year breast cancer survivor. She faithfully watched Catholic mass for shut-ins on Sunday mornings and attended St. Isidore or St. Ephrem when she was able.

A visitation will be held at the Will & Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 2:00 - 9:00 P.M. with a scripture service at 7:00.

The funeral Mass will be at St. Ephrem Catholic Church, 38900 Dodge Park Road, Sterling Heights on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. (in state at 10:00). Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics of Children's Hospital of Michigan.
