Alice Ruth DeHate, age 83 of Chesterfield Township, passed away Wednesday at McLaren Macomb Hospital, Mount Clemens.

She was born September 28, 1937 in Mount Clemens, Michigan to Stuart North and Ruth Edna (Sharpe) Lust. On July 10, 1989 Alice was united in marriage with Thomas C. DeHate Jr. in Shelby Township.

Alice retired in 1998 from Martha T Berry Hospital, where she worked as a nurse. She enjoyed traveling, camping and photography.

Mrs.DeHate is survived by her sons, Bob and Bill; grandchildren, Ryan, Stephanie, Michelle, Ethan, Jodi and Jacob; great grandchildren, Annabella, Grace, Leigha, Nathaniel, Ashton, Adrian, Devin and Sydney, and brother Ivan. Alice was predeceased by her husband, Thomas, and brother, Stuart, who passed away as an infant.

Visiting hours are from 9:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 10:00a.m., Monday, December 21, 2020 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens with Pastor Doyle H. Andrews of the Church of Christ in Armada officiating.

Burial will follow at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions only 20 people are allowed in the building at a time. Please wear a face mask, covering your nose and mouth, and practice social distancing. Limit  the amount of time you are visiting to just a few minutes, as to allow others to pay their respects. No food or drink are permitted in the building.
