Alan C. Zagornik, age 65 of Harrison Township, passed away on January 28th at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit.

He was born on January 11, 1952 in Dearborn, Michigan, son of Henry and Joanna (Kuk) Zagornik. On September 10, 1976, Alan was united in marriage with Sharon A. Chmielewski in St. Barbara Catholic Church in Dearborn.

Alan worked in maintenance at the Ford Motor Company until his retirement. He was a member of the U.A.W. and attended St. Peter Catholic Church in Mount Clemens. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and all sports. He served in the United States Army.

Alan Zagornik is survived by his wife, Sharon, sons, Michael and Matthew, his mother, Joanna Zagornik, grandson, Henry and brother, David (Linda) Zagornik. Alan was predeceased by his father, Henry.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 3-8:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. in the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. (in state 9:00 a.m.) at St. Peter Catholic Church, 95 Market Street, Mount Clemens with the Reverend Father Michael N. Cooney officiating.

Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township with Military Honors.
