Mrs. Helen Dolly Tanzey, age 94 of Mount Clemens, passed away on Saturday evening in Flint. She was born on July 5, 1918 in Indiana, a daughter of the late Finley and Ethel (Runyon) Duff. On May 13, 1939, she was united in marriage with Francis Tanzey in Mount Clemens. Mrs. Tanzey was a member of Crosspoint Church (formerly First Baptist Church of Mount Clemens) and the quilting group at church. Mrs. Tanzey is survived by three children, Bernard (Michelle) Tanzey of Dearborn, Karen (Bill) Rocker of Orlando, Florida and Sharlene Weisenberger of Flint; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Jean Pate, Ruth Lee, and Beth Boggs; a brother Alen Duff. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Francis on April 10, 1983, and siblings, Cecil Pike, Treva Grewe, Emma Steinabach, Naomi Cooper, Roland, Finley Marlin, Robert, and Thomas Duff. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. (in state at 10:00 a.m.) in Crosspoint Church, 44000 North Avenue, Mount Clemens with Reverend David Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery in Clinton Township. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens.
